the colours look very flat, hope you dont mind, had a quick tweak:

these were the settings I used:

maybe a bit oversharpened but I liked the way it brought out the white of the bare branches

no, that was just using Digital Photo Professional, the free software from canon that came with my 400D, I find that its actually quite a powerful tool.

I just wish i could use photoshop or any other PP software as well as you guys, my learning curve on taking pics has been steep enough and trying to learn PP as well is testing my brain power to the limit!!! Do like the PP picture though!
