Mildew can we fix it.

This photo has been given to me with a request to return it to its former glory. The problem is caused be Mildew and it has already been cleaned without using any chemicles or other products. Does anyone know of any treatment which could be used to clean it up without seriously damaging the photo or advise if there are any short cuts within photoshop , I have CS2, which would help me.

Get a large hi-res scan. Crop out the border and then use the clone brush to get rid of the spots on the image.
