Milky way from orkney

Went for a milky way to test my new camera / lens. I had little hope because I though their wasn't much stars due to the periode of the year. But the night have already come back much more than I thought!

For a first test I'm very happy. Not sure how to improve from these. I was surprise that even with 10mm lens (on crop sensor) I could put so little in the frame!

Am very jealous these are your first ! I look forward to seeing more attempts as they will no doubt get better and better.

Thanks carl, it was the opportunity to try the high iso performance of my new Fuji x-t1. These were taken at iso 3200, way more than I could have dreamed of with my canon 40D...
