Lovely set and I especially like the Wren.

Pls remind me what lens and as such what FL........oh, and how much if any cropping?

Lens, I switched between sigma 150-600 and my Nikon 70-200 2.8
Not much cropping required, birds are quite close I'd guess between 3/4 metres, except the Jays, but as this was a new set up,
only done yesterday, John is going to work on getting them less shy and moving things a bit closer, it did take a while for them
to settle long enough to get the pictures, but patience won

Looks like a good trip, a good variety and some lovely perches. You might need to keep an eye on the white balance, these have a fairly strong yellow cast to them. I had a look at the Goldie in LR and using the pipette on the white collar on the neck reduces the yellow cast as well as adding some magenta to the tint.

Great selection Ingrid, looks like a good location. :)

Thanks and damn I can see what you mean, must go back an redo them later :(
Yes it is a great place and the owner doesn't mind if you change things if you aren't happy with them (y)

Cheers Roger, I will be going back sometime soon, apparently the variety changes and John is trying some different ideas
like a buzzard feeding area

Good set but I love the GSW and redleg. Two birds I could never imagine getting together in one image.

Pure chance Jan, I was concentrating on the GSW and suddenly the redleg hopped up
Cheers :)

Are the photos one day's crop? Excellent work ... ermmm pleasure I mean.

Great set Ingrid, really looking forward to my day down there.
How mnay of your shots did you need the Siggy for ?
Planning to have a 70-200 2.8 and 1.4 all being well....

Thanks Mark

In the main hides the perches are 3 to 4 metres away so the 70-200 is fine, it was really only the Jays that
were further off that the 150-600 was necessary for, but talking to John today (yes I'm going back soon ;))
he is working on getting them closer to the hide they come to by the pond

Cool - as long as they're hand tame by the 19th July Im fine.... ;)

Thought you were going to BWC on 19th July ?
