Yes
I need a mini tripod for my GoPro. I am leaving for a trip in a few days, so it needs to be easy to get hold of quickly!

I'm after something that is really small to carry around/pack, and it will be used primarily with a GoPro for timelapse.

Can anyone recommend something suitable?

Thanks

I'd recommend a Gorillapod, or even a clone, perfect for use as a tripod or to fasten to fenceposts etc if necessary.

Getting tempted by a few things now... i might get the Manfrotto 209, 492 header, and a super clamp.

Not sure this is this sensible option though!

All i ever read about Gorillapod's is they fall apart amazingly quickly :(

I'd third a Gorillapod type as it is just so flexible (literally :)) for something like the GoPro. I've had the standard original SLR model for a few years. I use it seldom, but it is sturdy and not in danger of falling to bits any time soon. Maybe cheap knock-offs get you what you pay for.

This is just an example of the weight which can be supported if the balance is right. I don't think a GoPro would challenge the Gorillapod in that regard, regardless of angle.

I've gone for the Gorillapod as in the photos above (the one with no ball head). Hopefully this should be ok!

I got a pole for the GoPro too, so hopefully can actually get some use out of it :D

Thanks everyone
