Not too keen on #2, my eyes keep darting from the rock to the lighthouse.

#1 works for me. I like the simplicity of the photograph. I'd like to see a different perspective that could enable a square crop. Central positioning is fine, IMO.

I prefer no1 the centrality of it works well. It's a natural progression from the rock to the lighthouse. I also prefer the more muted, almost monochrome, colours.

No 1 is utterly boring. No 2 piques the interest (has the creative tension that the other lacks).
