Minimum Kit for a wedding?

How about 2 of everything electronic, 2 cameras, 4-8 batts, car charger,
tripod sometimes for the church,
20 mem cards, you can never have enough,
Some good glass to go on each body (thats how I work) others only use one body and perhaps carry a spare, I prefer no lens change if possible.

Fuji Disposable.

Minimum as in...what you really should have or what you can get away with?

Some people have £10k worth of gear with them and will only use 1 body and 1 lens for 99% for the entire day.

i have personally just shot a Goth style wedding on Halloween ..... Quite a bit of the kit i took was backup only just in case. There was another tog there for the next wedding with a Canon 5D and flash but never saw any backup kit that i could see ... maybe left it in his car. Only problem i see with carrying a lot of kit is keeping ones eyes on it while shooting - ideally take an assistant with you to take care of that side ..

Kit i took was :

Nikon D700 - 28-70mm
Nikon D700 - 17-34mm
EN-EL4 batteries x3
Nikon 70-300VR
Nikon SB-900 x2
Filter pack
Slik pro tripod - never used it
6 mem cards
Epson P2000 card backup
Lots of alkaline batteries
Tamrac pro 12 bag

This is what I take to weddings...I know not all if it is equipment as such but it may be useful/interesting to someone!

In a big camera bag:
5D + grip
30D
430 flash
580 II flash
17-40
24-105
50mm 1.4
70-200 2.8 IS
100mm macro (never use it though)
ST-E2 flash trigger
Wireless remote for camera (useful for triggering the 30D on a tripod on the balcony of the church while I'm downstairs)
OCF cord
flash diffusers x3
20 AA batteries (4 in my pocket)
6 camera batteries (1 in my pocket)
24 gb of cf cards (on a keyring pouch)
Pop up reflector
Various filters (rarely used)
lens cloth
rocket blower
mints
nurofen
plasters
pen and paper
business cards
all paperwork for the wedding in question
tissues
B&G posing guide (don't tend to use it these days)
2 bungees (useful for holding a flashgun to poles/fences/railings etc)

In car:
2 konig light stands
tripod (used once this year!)
Pop up softbox and shoot-through umbrella (very rarely used but useful for indoor groups if it rains)
umbrella for me
white umbrella for B&G
Food and drink
Spare shirt
Detailed directions, all addresses and phone numbers I might need

And yes, the bag does weigh a bloody ton!
