Help my son has a minolta maxxum 3xi and has just come home with a charity shop purchase of 1x minolta 70-210 lens f4 md mount and it wont fit.
Is there some kind of adapter we could buy.
Regards Tony.

Hello, there are adapters around (have a look on ebay or under the M42 section of the Dyxum website). However, because of the differing registration distance between the lens and the mount, a mechanical adapter will only allow the Minolta AF camera to focus to a few feet. Adapters exist with an optical element to allow infinity focusing, but these degrade the image and act as a mild teleconverter, slowing the lenses maximum aperture.

Personally, I wouldn't bother trying to adapt it. For the price of the lens and the adapter, you could buy an old AF lens. Sorry :(
