Are these lenses compatible with any digital cameras? I have a friend who has some for a film camera, and wants to know if they are worth anything.

Hi

:shrug:Not 100% ..... Some are but if not most can be used manual focus. The Minolta fitting is also compatible with Sony. Post up the details and I'm sure you'll get a more defined and informed reply.

Thanks, I'll get the details and post them over the next day or so.

Standard lens 35 - 70 Auto focus

Zoom XI 100 - 300

And a 70 - 210

Thanks

Gresh

The 100-300 sounds like it must be the Minolta AF 100-300mm f/4.5.5-6 xi. This was released in 1991 but probably discontinued soon afterwards, as Minolta released newer 100-300 designs in 1993 and again in 2000. This has a Minolta AF mount so should be compatible with all current Sony DSLRs.

For the other lenses we're going to need more details. Minolta made various different 70-210mm zoom lenses (for example) over the years, and they won't all have the same level of compatibility with current cameras. We'd need to know the full designation (along the lines of the one I provided for the 100-300).

Thanks Stewart, I try to get the complete info, good at this aren't I?:wacky:
