You can probably download the instruction book from Minolta/Sony which will help you understand the workings of the camera. From what I've seen on the net it's a very capable camera so you should be able to get some great shots with it.

I used to own a Minolta Dynax 600si classic and 700si, wonderfull cameras.

I used to have 2 Dynax 9xi bodies - really good cameras
Before them I had an original 7000 (but that was a few years ago.....)
