hello,has anybody used a mirror lens for bird,nature shots.if so are there any issues you came across.many thanks in advance.
 
I've not got a mirror lens per se, but I have a Maksutov telescope, and the design, is as far as I can tell the same. The biggest issue is mirror collimation. The two mirrors have to be perfectly aligned or it affects the image quality (I've not got my Mak spot on yet). I've also noticed lower contrast than using a lens based system, and I think that's down to the central obstruction from the secondary mirror (easily dealt with in PP though).
