My Mum is after a new camera after using her Nikon Bridge Camera for a number of years. Its a little dated and the IQ is 'ok' so she is looking to step up to a mirrorless. She would like one with an EVF.

Budget is around £500 so was thinking something like an X-T10 or OMD EM10?

Anything else that would be worth looking out for?

Its mainly for walks over the Gold Course with the dog and some family pictures. No idea what kit lenses are like with these things either so help me out!

The XF lenses are better built than the XC lenses, but image quality for both is very good. With the latest firmware the X-E2 is vastly better than original reviews will suggest - at least the equal of the X-T10.

Excellent thanks - will have a look in to both models

Sony A6000
GX7 kit at Jessops is only £299 at the mo which is a ridiculous bargain

Would just go with E-M5 with 14-150, presumably she wants a big zoom range like most people with thes big cameras ;)
