mixed bag, first post

These are 3 pictures from places I've found been recently. I'm relatively new to this and would appreciate your comments (good and bad!). Camera was 400D with 17-40 L.

Love them, my only crit, in the first it seems quite dull and some noise is apparent in the darker clouds area? Still they are cool shots.

I was about to say the same, it seems a little 'soft'? maybe thats the wrong word to use, but thats how it come across.

The first shot is similar to a photo I had shown on the BBC North East weather section of the news last year.

#2 for me. #1 on this laptop looks a litte too bright, but the laptop isn't calibrated so is probably causing the problem

sbowler579 - yes Malham Cove in the rain (good for keeping the hoards of walkers out of shot).

JPS - I agree. Would have had my shadow if it wasn't for the big tree casting shade from behing me!
