Mobiles abroad ??

Please do not be hard on me.

I will be in Menorca next week and I want sort out an issue with a photo.

If I give my mobile number to an individual in the States will they be able to contact me with the number or will they require a prefix ??

if you're taking a UK mobile
then drop the first 0 and prefix with +44

so if you are 07654 123 456

from the US they'd dial +44 7654 123 456
note they pay for a call to the UK
you pay fro the UK-Spain bit

PS you need to make sure, with your service provider, that you have roaming = receive calls while abroad

The prefix required by someone in the states will be the same for your mobile wherever you go in the world. They still need to dial it as a UK number.

So, the start of my mobile is 07974. For someone to call me from the states, they have to dial +447 974. Basically, lose the 0 and add +44.

Oh and make sure your account is set up for roaming before you go too.
