Yes
Form Woodvale at the weekend. They were flying model aircraft most of the day on Sunday, i dont think they're too
bad considering they were with the 200mm and they weren't really near enough..

10 Then what you see when your daughter drags you away and you've just swapped your lens

I wouldn't worry about missing that Vulcan, it looks atrocious, completely the wrong shape. There was a much better one at the LMA event at Longhorsley earlier in the year. Like the Anson, would really like to see that one.

What do these things cost? Some of them look brilliant, and nice photos, especially 7.

Makes you wonder why you would build an iconic plane like the Vulcan in the wrong shape? No matter though, still must be thrilling to look at/fly.

This Vulcan is a lot better, photographed at Longhorsley a few months ago (Rob - PM me if you have a problem with me sharing my photos in your thread and I'll pull em.) If you look in that set in general from the event, there are some prime examples of incredible workmanship

He said that trying to fly it was like balancing a marble on a sheet of glass so theres definately a skill in flying these things.
Some of the bigger and better models you'll see on that Flickr set cost thousands. These aren't your simple little aerobatic aircraft you'll see at any model field around the country many of these are all built with dedication and flown much like the real thing. If you look at the Large Model Association website and see an event near you I'd suggest it's worth a visit.

I like the way you have cought the movement of the propellers. My neighbour was at an airshow the other week and all his shots have that static look as though the planes would fall out of the sky at any minute!!
The classic error of not changing shutter speed, one of the main things that tell you whether or not someone really knows what they're doing in this game...

No problem at all with the photo's

Was is a Model airshow ?... The thing with models is the prop spins much faster than a 'normal'
plane, so is a lot easier to get the blur on the prop..

A bloke i used to work with went to buy a 'proper' helicopter and the shop wouldn't sell him
one. Mainly because he'd never flown any model aircraft before. Probably thought he'd
kill someone if he got it off the ground.

Cheers for the comments

Great images... love the old Handley Page Harrow!

If anyone in or near or visiting south/east Norfolk wants to try out flying a model aeroplane let me know via pm. (don't worry - it's free!)
