Hey guys,

I had a chance to test of my 1.8 nifty fifty properly today on a shoot. I love it :)

Here are some of my shots from the day.

Great lens and well used. #1 is my favourite, the colours and shadows work for me. Well done and we'll be seeing more from you and the nifty.

V8burble: I used my SB-800 with a shoot through white umbrella at around 1/4. If thats what you mean by settings
 
Like the dark feel to it, as above, very nice lighting.

The only thing that bothers me is her expression and positioning of her face is exactly the same on all shots :thinking:

Then again, I'm the new guy to this field of photography so I may be missing the point :bonk:
 
the first one is a great portrait those eyes pull you in

have you tried it as a closer crop?

oh my, i do like these! first one for me! lovely eyes she has! were these processed in lightroom?
 
yeah I shoot in RAW so I have to put them in Lightroom to adjust the leves a bit, Thats all the processing really. Well that and adding my logo :)
 
Nice set of shots. The 1st stands out for me really well, I really like the lighting on her. Can you explain the lighting set up you used? Thanks:)
