Modifying Elincrom defelector for Bowens/Lencarta

Hi

I've bought an Elinchrom rotolux 70cm Octa (bowens mount) to use on my Lencarta strobe. I also got the deflector on a whim, but can now see that there is no 'hole' for the deflector rod to go into with this set up.

Has anyone found a workaround for this at all to use with Lencarta / Bowens mount set up? If not I'll send the deflector back.

Not really, if you want to spend enough time and effort you can make most anything work but typically people go the other way, they're modifying an Elinchrom beauty dish to work with other brands (or not lose the deflectors) but in your shoes unless I wanted to replace other deflectors I'd probably just return them.
