Monitor Calibration device

Hi,

I recall that long time ago there was a device passed from hands to hands on this forum where members could calibrate their monitor, and post the device to the next member afterwards.

Anyone know if this is still going?

Thanks.

Have used both the spider and another, waste of money.

OK rubbish for me, I saw no use at all, I used the Spider top of the line with printer calibration, NIL, and the Huey pro, sold a week later.

Sorry.

Oh and yes I did know what I was doing. I have an Eizo S2231W.

I use the Spider Pro and can only say it made a heck of a difference - didn'took much different when looking at the screen but screen cours and printed colours come out much closer now and I'm sure if I knew what I was doing more with printer profiles it wouldn't take much to get them spot on

After taking advice from the good folk on this forum, I splashed out on a Spyder 3 Pro. Suffice to say it was worth every penny. Much better colour rendition and easier on my old eyes too.

I know it is always nice to have a good chat, but could anyone help me with my question?

OOOOO!

That IS the point of a FORUM, do I note a touch of tetchiness here :nono:

Perhaps WE don't know you will have to wait till someone who does reads this.

I assume you don't expect all questions to be answered in the next post, that would be tedious.

buy mine for £200 lol

I use the X-Rite Eye One Display 2, and find the difference between calibrated and non-calibrated profiles is quite noticable. I've been very happy with it.

it is still going and monitor calibration is a must if you want accurate prints done(end of).
monitor calibration can make the world of difference.

Agreed, no one here as far as I can see has said anything else have they, however you don't need a gadget to do it for you.
