Monitor calibration suggestions

Is there a calibrator that's considered better than the others? Thinking of spending around £100 but if it was worth it could stretch.

So far looked at a Pantone Huey and Spyder 3 Pro (I only need it for 1 screen not multi). Read reviews and they both seem good but can't seem to find any comparisons. My guess is they all do the job but nice to know from people who have them/know more than me.

Thanks for any advice.

I was looking at this when I bought mine. The TV calibration guys reckon the eye-one display 2 is the most stable and consistent of the budget calibration units.

I'd love a colormunki myself, my mate has one and I like the idea of a completely closed loop device. I do have a Spyder Print as well. I wouldn't do without them now.

I have a spyder3 - works a treat - you get used to what you have. Its as important to use a printers that can provide you with their print-profiles, I use the printspace.

Thanks, I didn't know about printspace, I might try them out.

I don't really print my own images so I think the colormunki may be overkill for what I need, just monitor should do me fine.

Probably go with the spyder3 or the eye-one display 2 seems to be more people with a spyder and more positive reviews, though the few for the eye-one look good. I'll read some more reviews and stuff.

Thanks arad85, a LOT of info there. Convinced me, will go with the eye one.
