Hi everyone,

I just wondered if anyone could recommend a monitor hood supplier for a 29inch monitor.

I was trying to find a universal hood monitor, but not at silly money :)

My pc is in the conservatory, when I try to calibrate with my Spyder of course it always reports there is too much light.

As I said I do not want to spend a fortune, i am try trying to get my screen as close as I can.

Get yourself a couple of sheets of black cardboard from an art shop together with some strong fabric tape.

Cut three pieces out of the board: one to go on top of the monitor, the other two to fit on the sides. Use the tape to join the side pieces to the top. (tape along the inside first, fit the hood over the screen then tape along the top joins. You can size the shield to fit your needs.

I made one of those for a laptop and it lasted more than three years before it needed replacing.
