My acer monitor just packed in. I didn't like it much anyway, so time to choose a new one. Any recommendations? I need it today so needs to be widely available in comet/currys/tesco etc..

Shame you need it so urgently as ebuyer do some nice monitors, and good prices too. Sorry, not much help, but if you can wait a day or 2. Don't you know anyone who can lend you one in the mean time?
 
Yeah i've just been looking at the dell ips as well as a viewsonic ips which is getting great review too. I'll try and borrow my dads for a day or two. Thanks.

Bit of a difference in cost £176 for the 23inch dell and nearly £550 for the 27inch Dell IPS monitor. If you have loads of money to chuck around then it may be a waste of time and money getting a smaller screen. Unfortunately not everyone does, and us lesser mortals have to make do with the excellent smaller versions.

I went for the ViewSonic VX2336s in the end its gor great reviews and only £120. I'm happy enough with it.
