I am using Photoshop 7.0 and Adobe Photoshop elements 5.0 and each time that I boot up either of these ptogrammes I get a message box appear that says " The monitor profile LGL1900R appears to be defective. Please rerun your monitor calibration software" and beneath this message are two boxes and one says "Ignore Profile" and the other says "Use Anyway" whichever box I click on the programme appears to run normally and with me being a non-techy computer user I cannot tell if there is anything wrong anyway. I thought that I have run the calibration thingy on a number of occasions and as far as I am concerned everything is A-OK. How can I tell if the programme/s is/are not running properly? Any help will be appreciated. Many thanks.

It's possible that one of the tags that exist within the profile is incorrect, but the actual profile is OK. So PS and Elements sees something not right and alerts you.

If you have a calibration device then rerun the calibration and see it that helps but use a different name for the profile

If it's a generic profile see if you can download a new copy from the LG website, and substitute that.

Hi Chappers, I have been on to the LG website and have downloaded the latest version of Forte Manager and have run the calibration Wizard and have then started up Photoshop 7.0 and still get the same error message so do not know where to go from here. Many thanks for your advice so far, do you have any other thoughts on this. The problem that I have is that by using either of the buttons (Ignore or Use anyway) I really don't know if the programme is running at its best as it were.
