Hi all
currently im using a netbook (mini laptop) we do have a full size laptop but trying to wedge my mrs off facebook is harder than splitting an atom so leaves me with the netbook for my pic editing:bang:

Sooo im messing with Elements 6 and when downloading raw (NEF) files im getting messages saying my resolution is too small so i can get a full screen, and also means i cant use all the functions as cant see them all  tried adjusting but seems its already set to the max. Im thinking either buy another PC or just plug a monitor into the net book, it has a 15 pin VGA socket to gues its do-a-ball?

what will i get if i do this, both screens working together, one full size the other cropped..

any recommendations for a not to expensive monitor?

cheers

You could put a monitor on it, you'd bypass the netbook screen and it would just be the monitor showing the display.
I'd be more concerned about a netbook working with big RAW files though. It wont take long before you start getting very sluggish when working in elements.
A new dedicated laptop or desktop might be the way forward.

thanks, think i may have to look into getting a desk top. wifes got a pretty mega spec laptop that i foolishly bought her (instead of me) for Christmas but like i say she'l fight to the death if i try to get her off it now lol

cant believe i sold our Mac a few years ago "DOH DOH DOH"
