I like the concept of Epson Ecotank printers - I have a basic one which is OK for colour - but I also like to print mono. Is there an Ecotank model which can give rich blacks with no colour cast?

On phone right now......will post a link shortly once @ the PC ;)

But do check Keith Copper's review videos about/for the ET-8550.....I recall he specifically looked at B&W using EPL(Epson Photo Layout). All(?) down to choice of settings and paper, which if not Epson will need to create/get the paper profiled with the Epson inks on the printer.

As promised.....

This is his webpage 8550 review with linked/embedded full review video

HTH :)

PS I have been keeping and eye on the availability & price changes for this printer..............struggling to justify(?) its cost...............compared to the amount of ink I have fed my much more modest Canon TS8250

Update - just checked, mine is the humble ET2756, which cam make satisfactory colour prints but only has a single black ink so mono prints have a cast and lack of richness.
