I wonder if anyone could help me please?
I have rheumatoid arthritis, and use a walking stick, so carrying too much gear is impossible, especially when I have 2 dogs with me!! :)
Anyway, I am sure I have come across an advertisement for a monopod that can be used as a walking stick, or vice versa.
Does anyone know of such a thing, and if so would it do the trick for both walkinng and image taking!
Many thanks

a member on here(hill walking girl)uses a leki sierra walking/monopod pole...see below

hope this helps

Thanks Chaz and Stan. Both look like sort of the thing I want, but I think I was hoping for something with easier adjustability.
I have used a Leki pole for 12 years and it's been great, but if I do ever need to adjust the height someone has to do it for me as my hands can't manage the screwing action (so to speak!).
I suppose I was hoping to be able to adjust the stick to be the correct height for me, and then perhaps clip adjustment for when I need it to act as a tempoary monopod.
Hope that makes sense, although I am probabaly asking too much here!
Thank you again

Thank you everyone for all your replies. Everyone as always is so helpful on here.
For price, I am rather tempted to give the 7 day shop one a try as it has excellent reviews, and is of course cheap! ;)
But I will sleep on it for now and show my husband in the morning to see if he has any thoughts on them all.
Once again thank you for all your replies. It really is very much appreciated! :)

Hi. I have used this exact setup for hillwalking/photography for the last two years. The monopod has been to some of the highest peaks in the North of the UK and has so far stood up well to everything I have thrown at it! For the price, it is very good value IMO. Go for it!

Thank you for the personal recommendation - always nice to hear! I do rely on my stick a lot which is what was bothering me, but it sounds like it's certainly worth a good go, especially as I can only walk on the flat!!
Thank you again :)
