Advice please:

I'm looking for a monopod. Recommendations please. Budget is very limited.

I have done a search but it has not turned up an answer.

I am just getting back into 'togging - film 30 yrs ago. But, I don't want to spend a fortune at the mo in case I lose interest.

The intention is to tog the Huddersfield canal between Uppermill and Standedge as part of a level one Photography course and the use of a remote shutter release seems useful but pointless without support. If that makes sense?

I've got an old Manfrotto 134b - hard as a rock and even taller than it needs to be. It's a shame it gets absolutely no use due to not having a proper long lens
