Montage size

I thought I might try putting some of my shots from a portrait studio session into a montage.

I was wondered what sort of sizes folks have used, also I don't suppose anyone wants to share some photoshop montage templates.

i don't have any templates and as i cant even clone not the best person to help with advice on PS ( in fact i don't even use it). So this post has no purpose other than to give you a free bump

The montages I do vary in size depending on what the client wants. Too small say 12x8 and you would lose the effect of the images if there are many, but for something that size maybe one main large image and 6-8 images around the outside would work, For a large New York themed montage that I did for a client I printed in at 20x30 inches in size, looks the bomb in a black 4 inch mount and natural wood frame.

How are you laying the montage out? I always use PS and do each image as a new layer that way you can play with layouts, rotations etc etc.

I will be using Photoshop as you suggest, I just wasn't sure what sort of size to start with. Thanks for the info.

Anyone else create montages?
