Hoping for clear nights to continue so I can get a series of waning moons.

Great shots. Just curious though, won't a waning moon just look the same as a waxing moon?

The terminator between light and shadow is on the opposite side, so different features become visible. This means every phase of the moon looks slightly different, especially through a telescope.

Ah, ok. I didn't realise that. I've often fancied getting a telescope, but It would probably get used a handful of times, then lie gathering dust.

Get yourself some decent binoculars for about £60 and you'll be surprised how much more you can see in the sky.
