There was something quite funny about this chase but I can't put my finger on what it was. Maybe it's the long legs..lol. There's been a few photos on here,lately, of aggressive behaviour involving moorhens. mating season,I suppose. I'm guessing it's the female (it's larger) that's infront.

It is funny isn't it ... Moorhens like a good scrap at the best of times but they are very territorial now as they start the breeding season. :)
Not sure I can tell the difference in sexes.

I googled that,Roger, i.e.. the obvious differences between male and female and the answer was just about none other than size. Mrs. MH being larger and of the two here the one in front looks larger.
