That first one is excellent ... ... makes them look like drinking buddies ... :D

Great series of images ... (y)

:p

Cracking set Alby
Especially the way you managed to catch the (inter) action between the wood louse and the ant!
2nd one for me (y)

No1 & 4 are stunners Alby, the DOF in No1 is increadable to get both head in focus, were they stacked ?

You have clearly nailed macro photography to the wall, x 1000000 :)

Excellent.

Thanks for all your comments folks ;)
Scraggs: none of these are stacked I just changed angles to try and get the focal plane in line with them.

Another great set there Alby.

Fantastic as ever. (250 on order)(y)(y)

im glad i mentioned ants on the thread yesterday, these are just superb

This is absurd.
Like, completely absurd.

Sorry, there is no chance you took these with an FZ18 and a raynox 250.
You're lying to everyone.

I think its about time you told the truth.

You obviously live on a different planet where bugs are simply bigger.

You're right I didn't used the FZ18 and Raynox DCR 250 :( I used the FZ8 and the Raynox MSN 202 :D Thanks for looking.

The first reminds me of the lager advert (was it Guiness or Carling?) of man drinking with man in pub and then going all the way back into prehistoric times to show amphibians drinking from a water hole.

Great shots and an inspiration to us all as ever.

As ever another stunning set Alby(y)

I can see that next weekend at Marwell is going to be interesting with you crawling everywhere on your hands and knees:LOL:

Thanks folks for commenting. :)
Eric: I've everything crossed for good weather this time I do actually travel quite a bit on my hands and knees although getting up is getting harder these days.

Mitch: Long time no see, I trust you've now settle in Spain? Have you meet up with Steve?

FP: you know me too well

aye, improving, keep at it :p

You'll end up with alby climbing into the monkey cage to pick out the creepy crawleys from their fur

If he dose I'll make sure to post the pics(y)

Another rubbish series, Alby.

When are you going realise you just cant shoot macro???

Great set mate,

SB

Thanks for looking Dod. :)
Thanks Dave another set fit for the bin I guess ;)

Oooh it looks like a set of shots from a race with the ant as the winner in the last shot :)
They are amazing!

And I for one welcome our new insect overlords :D

They are so good they really give me the creeps. The creatures not your fantastic shots of them ;) (y)

maybe they were massive insects like used to on 'tarzan'?

Seriously, stunning :)
