You both have some fantastic photos. Looks like I will be going back to the zoo again tomorrow :crying:

Some great shots there. The squirrel monkey <?> is my pick. I also like the flamengo, could you have got the whole reflection in though?

And the Cheetah, great pose.

Thanks. The flamingo was surrounded by others and I wanted to isolate it. If I got the whole reflection in the shot, there would have been bits and pieces of the surrounding flamingoes included. You can't win them all.

 Claire - at least the weather will be nice if you are going back tomorrow - not that I think you need too!! xxxx

Had the same problem with the flamingos last week. They seem to all huddle up together under the trees! I ended up with two birds in one shot with both reflections as it was the only option in the end. Not sure what time I'll get there tomorrow, might go first thing before it gets too busy! Will let you know if it's any later in the day.

Lovely pics Alan,im off to the zoo tomorrow hope the weather is as nice as todays.Do you mind me asking what lens or lenses you use and do you take your tripod.Im thinking of just taking my 70-300mm vr will that be ok?

Sorry,I missed this yesterday evening.

I used the 70-200 with 2x for just about all the shots. Your 70-300 should work out as giving you about the same 'reach' as I've got. I don't use a tripod at the zoo, or, indeed, much at all. There are plenty of places to lean to steady yourself and it's quite important to remain rather nimble on your feet to get the shots.
