Hi Keith thanks for the comment It was done with a drop trigger which makes getting the collisions so much easier than when I used to do it all by timing and luck. This way I don't end up taking a few hundred shots and only having a handful of keepers.
I used coloured gels to add the background colour I also coloured the drop liquid with red ink the water reservoir had rinse aid added to it as it apparently helps to break down the surface tension in the water enabling more interesting shapes.
I'm still very new to this though still got a lot to learn and experiment with. I'd ultimately like to do some 3 drop collisions but that is a long way off yet though.

This is one of my better examples of when I was experimenting with some rinse aid added to the reservoir water it certainly helps to stretch the water a little.
