more help with lenses..

I want to get something much sharper than the std 18-135 my 60d came with ,

ive got a 50mm canon 1.8 and it seems to be on the camera all the time as its so sharp :)

im torn between the canon 35mm F2 or the Tamron 17-50 f2.8 i feel the Tamron will be a better walk about lens but think the canon may well give better images - what do people think advice very much needed !
 
I recently upgraded from 500d and found my 17-40L seems to be even sharper!

I tried the Tamron 17-50 on the 500d before getting the 17-40L and thought the extra expense was worth it although many say on here that it's meant for full frame cameras. Cant say I agree really as I have been very pleased with the results.:thumbs:
 
not thought about hiring a lens - seems expensive really id prefer to put the money towards a lens, the 35mm is cheaper but the other seems to get such good results , i may have to go to jessops and test it , i do prefer the idea of getting some 'zoon' and woud ideally like something longer ! its a shame my 18-135 is not a f2.8 as it would be such a more usable lens then !
 
should add i 'really' want a 70-200 lens @ 2.8 and cant decide if i should just save up and get that instead ! opinions ?
 
I have the 70-200F4L for longer stuff, and portraits. It's excellent, but agree the 2.8 is the business if you can afford it!

Have u thought about the canon 15-85 is usm f/3.5-5.6
