More than a rocket blower

Hello. Ive just tried the rocket blower to clean my sensor but there are still dust specs. The sensor looks immaculate but the mirror in front is dirty. Will it still need the swabs/fluid in order to clean the mirror as you do with cleaning the sensor? Im hoping to sell the camera within a few weeks and I don't want to spend £30 cleaning it when I will only get £150/£200 for it anyway.

If the specs are just on the mirror, they won't show up on end images, as the mirror flips up when you click the shutter. They may well be seen through the VF, but souldn't affect what the sensor captures.

Ahh, thanks for clearing that up. I may as well just mention "needs sensor cleaning".

Personally I wouldn't touch the mirror. The mirror itself is what's called a first surface mirror - the metal reflective coating is on the side you can see and isn't protected so relatively easy to damage. The mechanism it hangs off is also relatively delicate.

You would probably get away with a careful dab with a brand new soft tiny paintbrush while using a lit magnifier with the emphasis on careful and soft!

Dust on the mirror won't show up in photos but may be visible through the viewfinder. Be honest with any private buyer so there shouldn't be any comebacks if/when they spot it.
