According to THIS place, there's some storms about right now....

Not sure that site is very accurate though!
But also forecast on our local radio stations there may be some thunderstorms tonight.

Hi Andy. I can't see any thunderstorms forming anywhere tonight. The surface temperature overnight will be too cold to promote thermals needed for convective cumulus activitiy. If anything, ground frost should be more of a concern if you're a gardener!
Tomorrow, confidence for any storms anywhere in the UK is low as a temporary ridge of high pressure (that usually prevents build up of thunderclouds) moves over the UK.
Thursday, a depression system will move from west to east over the UK bringing a spell of thicker cloud, drizzle and rain before things slowly improve by the weekend with sunshine and scattered showers.

Bit of thundery activity here (Warks) at dusk. Soon fizzled out though.

Hello there, this is it, any remaining bit of thundery activity that may still be about will very quickly fade away as any instability will be capped by rapidly cooling ground temperatures and a upper warm air inversion creeping over the country. :)

Cheers Michael! :D

I didn't really think it was thunderstorm weather, but got an alert from the Isle Of Wight website. Although I don't think it's very accurate......

We had a 20-30 minute thunderstorm in Leicester around 17.00. Rain was very heavy for about 15 minutes or so.

It's quite a tempermental thing, isn't it? But it does the job.
Incidentally, I am catching up on the internet and am picking up reports of a funnel cloud having been observed over the IoW yesterday afternoon, along with 1 cm hail! I do know of an internet friend who lives there and have taken some pictures. As soon as he puts them on the 'net and with his permission I'll show them in here.

PS: Mornin' by the way.
