Did you use the D700 with a filter? Or maybe a D70? Would love to know as i'm thinking of buying a D70 just for IR. As i'm not sure how well my D90 will allow IR through.

If you did use the D700 could you tell me which filter you used and did you set the camera to Mono?

If you get a camera just for ir you want to get it converted to ir permanently, we both have converted D70's by replacing the sensor filter with one that lets ir through, this means you can take shots without tripods using the view finder at normal shutter speeds
 
you can get the cameras converted from a number of places in the UK, getting the filter may need going to lifepixel in America, i haven't seen them available in the uk but i may be wrong

The last one is simply stunning, there isnt anything I dont like about this image. It has depth and atmosphere and it stirs the imagination, drawing you deeper into it.:clap::clap:
 
Lovely set of shots. I love IR stuff.
It would be good to see the images a little larger as I don't think these smaller ones do them any justice. #2 is my favourite, but would like to see it even more contrasty. Looks like a great place to shoot IR!
