Morning light - flower

Hello..

Not sure what I'm doing, so hope this works....
I’m VERY new to all this... This is one of my first pictures, and first ever up-load (so don’t be too harsh ! hahaha)
Joking aside, I’ve got to learn and start somewhere I guess

It's just a handheld shot from in the garden the other day.....

Compositionally I like it very much. I also like the desaturation / sepia tone; I feel it works very well in this instance. The only negative thing I have to say is that it's a little out of focus; if you could get the centre of the flower a bit sharper you're on to a winner.

Cracking first effort in my humble opinion! Keep at it mate

P.S. I think you have to resize it too! If I recall correctly it's only allowed to be 800 pixles on the longest side

Would agree with Pmj, nice processing and nice composition - could do with a levels tweak and slight contrast boost IMO though!

good DOF, agree with the levels (or curves) tweek to really make this POP!
