As a minor crit, I'd like to see the left eye more in focus also, but at f/2.8 and close distance that was not to be, although you had a touch of shutter speed to play with :shrug:
As I said hand held and I think 1/60th was about it.
they were grab shots really when we were discussing white balance and how to set the camera up.

I would have upped the iso and the apature to increase the DoF whithout affecting shutter speed as I don't think the noise would have been a problem.
The wb was fine (a little cold but I think it helps the feel of the shot) and so was the composition
