Most popular print sizes (aspect ratios)

What are the most popular print sizes / aspect ratios. I made a really stupid mistake when getting some prints done recently and got them done at 5x7in. And obviously from my D700 ratio it meant the prints were cropped slightly! :bang::bang::bang:

So what are the "normal" or most popular ratios, particularly in bigger print sizes?

most i sell are 12x8 in 14x11 mounts

also for pans its 20x8 in 24x12 mounts.......and the occasional 36x12

p.s. should do them 5x7.5 for crop (3 by 2) sensors

dSLRs generally produce images in a 3:2 ratio. So 6x4, 7.5x5, 9x6, 12x8, 15x10 and so on and so on....

Compacts and some dSLRs that use the four thirds system produce images in the 4:3 ratio. So 6x4.5, 8x6, 12x9 etc etc

many crop their own images to suit the crop they want (i do)

Standard sizes are generally 6x4, 7x5, 8x6, 10x8, 12x10, 14x11, 15x10, 16x12, 18x12, 20x16 and many others - Don't be afraid of cropping yourself.
