If you're planning on taking a big campervan/mobile home to one of the Scottish isles, book your ferry slot in advance as you cannot just rock up and head over on a standby sailing.

Well that screws up everything....
time to go make new plans! :runaway:

Book your crossing. I know a lot of folk on here drive these things and head out to our Islands, so they cannot say they've not been warned.

That said, our roads are amazing to drive on, a Porsche Boxster seems a more suitable means of transport.

This year - I am sailing over to Spain from Portsmouth to have a month of Spanish sun, but if it is redlisted, I am taking my normal sized car over on a Ferry to the Isles. I really ought to see them.

At least up there, they're not clogging the Grockle-bypass via Devon and Cornwall
