Mount Shahdag is one of my favourite locations in Azerbaijan, although I need to start seeking out new compositions and shooting spots.
When my alarm went off initially it was murky cloud outside and I went back to bed. waking up 30 minutes before sunrise I found the sky had cleared. A frantic scramble and 15 minutes up the road from the hotel later this is what I got.
The mountain tends towards the big vista type of image, as it is so huge and impressive. So I'm trying to find some different perspectives and views, other than just the big panoramas, as much as I do enjoy them!!
Constructive C&C welcome.
Thanks
Alan

Looking out of the hotel window in the evening and I realised there was actually quite an impressive sunset taking place. Watching the kids and drinking tea I almost forgot about the camera So this was taken from the hotel balcony. I'm sure other guests wondered what the lunatic with the tripod was doing.
