Moving Back to crop

I've been looking at going back to a crop and ive been offered a Canon 7d with Grip and a tokina 11-16mm 2.8 UWA for a straight swap for my Canon 5d mk2.

Would you say this is a fair swap?

Opinions Apprieciated?

I think it's a reasonable swap if you planned to shoot more action orientated shots. In terms of camera though the 7D isn't in the same ballpark compared to the full frame mk2. Personally I wouldn't entertain that exchange!

Im planning on doing alot more aviation, military jets ect.

How about keeping the 5dII and buying a used 50d? I shoot a lot of fast moving stuff (including 1/8000 firearms shooting!) and it rarely misses a beat. Its great for motorsport and aviation.

Then you have the best (nearly!) of both worlds.

I dont have the cash to buy this is why im doing a straight swap, i can always sell i suppose if im unhappy with the 7d i do here alot of good things about the 7d.
