I've come to a bit of a T-junction. At the moment I have a Nikon D40 + kit lens and a 55-200 which I will be selling very soon to replace with a 70-300, also some lil bits of accessories but nothing much.
I'm sick to death of the requirement for AF-S lenses as in the long run this seems to cost me more so my question is this: Whilst I will be left with only a D40 + kit would it be worth moving to the light side where there is more choice of lenses that seem to be cheaper?
Another option would be to sell my D40 and get a better body that does not require AF-S but stay on the dark side.
One more thing: As much as I hated the idea at first, I'd really like a body with HD video so I can do some short wildlife clips.
I'd love to know what you all suggest, and before anyone says it, I will be picking up the bodies and seeing which feels best too, this is just a general query. Cheers everyone
