Mull or Noth Uist

Im looking to book a cottage for mid october for a week. Im looking at doing some wildlife photography and cant chose where to go--either Mull or North Uist. I like te idea of seeing some owls etc on north uist but i know more people visit mull and i will get more ideas on parts to visit for otters and birds of prey..So if you have visied either or both give me your thoughts.

Do remember that us "petrol heads" will be over on Mull on the for the 14, 15 & 16 and the rally crews will be reccing the week leading up to the rally

Yeah i was once a big petrolhead myself but i was planning on missing the rally as i want the peace and quiet.
