Multimedia House

Hi everyone, I'm moving house soon and so I'm starting to plot and plan a multimedia setup. I'm thinking of ways to stream music, video, photos and TV to different rooms and different devices.

I'm after advice and inspiration as I don't want to install something, then decorate, and then realise that I've missed something or that it doesn't do what I want. So what setup is everyone using and what are the pros & cons? What would you do if you were starting from scratch?

Haha that's the million dollar question isn't it! ($1million definitely isn't the answer! )
At this stage there isn't a budget, I'm just interested in what the possibilities are, then I can decide which options I want and how much to spend. Does that make my original question unanswerable?!

MS Media Center and then extender devices (Linksys for example) might be worth a look.

a budget would help though, the sky is the limit with things like this.
