Stumbled upon this muscle car show near home, so had to quickly grab the camera and snap a few shots.

Came away with a few but i really love the lines of this machine.

Loving no.1. Call it what you want, but to me it's a Mk4 Cortina. Best car ever made, and owned by me when I was 17!

Oh yes. I had the 2.3 V6 (not sure which Mk it was). Purred like a kitten, drank petrol like my dad drank tea and chewed through starter motors! Loved it though.

With the wraparound indicators I'd say it was a Mk5 :)

Id go aa far as saying its not a cortina at all and instead some sort of Aussie Ford V8.
The indicators are wrapped round even more than a mark 5 cortina.
The registration plate is the clue :D

"My guess is it's a Holden"
about 30 years at a guess,(sorry les i couldn't resist)!!!!

The black car looks more Mk2 Granny to me, The Granada was more angular than the Cortina and the front indicators and rear lights give it away (the Tina had horizontally split red/amber lights on the rear)

Nice pics :)

Finally found out what it is -

Ford Falcon XD made by Ford Australia between 79 and 82
Smallest engine was a 3.3 straight 6 and the biggest was a 5.8 V8 (yum yum)

The one in the OPs post is a 5.8L V8 Phase 5.
