Appologies if this has been done before (tried searches, but found nothing).

What are your "must have" photography books?
 
The digital photography book second edition, Scott Kelby :thumbs:
 
I am also looking at increasing my library on photography, however my little brother who is 12 seems to be catching the bug also, any suggestions on books to teach him the basics of cameras and techniques in a way he would understand?
 
Are you talking about books to develop yourself as a photographer or books about photographers?

I tend not to buy self help books because a lot of the information I need I find out in the internet these days, but, there are a lot of good books about photographers and written by photographers.

I'd recommend the following...

The Photographer's Eye by John Szarkowski
On Photography by Susan Sontag
Why Photography Matters as Art as Never Before by Michael Fried
Robert Frank's The Americans
In England by Don McCullin

Books to develop myself, thanks.

I have heard of The Photographers Eye a few times and a couple of folk have mentioned Scott Kelby's book. I have his book on PSE6 and like it.
