Mute Swan in flight

There are also two resident swans on the local pond and I took these on the same day as the Little Egret just posted. It's a sequence of one of them flying from the far side to my side.

Thanks,Elizabeth. They could paddle over but every now and then they take off and I'm sure it's just to exercise their wings.

Thanks,Les. I've looked again at the first one, take off, as it impressed you.. You can see the determination in its eyes. A massive effort.

It's not a very big pond .A small lake rather than a pond but it's called a pond. I'll pace it out next time I'm across there. It takes rain run off from the Cotswolds.
