Hey all,
today I was busy with some work (essays
) when i heard a really loud popping noise. Came from the floor area behind me, but I didn't think too much of it. Then, I decided I wanted to take a photo of something on my desk, so I picked up my camera from (yeah you guessed it) the floor area behind me. AND IT REFUSED TO TURN ON
I tried replacing the battery, and all that happened was the screen turned on, insofar as it was lit, but there was nothing on the (black) screen.
Has anyone ever had this happen to them? Any idea what this might be? Any idea what I should do? Will be calling Canon in the morning, and hopefully send it off for repairs or something soon. I'm just really puzzled as I've never dropped my camera, never soaked it in water, etc, I've just been taking very good care of it!
Also, with regard to repairs, any idea what the turn around time for Canon repairs is? its summer term! i'm afraid that by the time the camera comes back the term would be over and I'll miss all the fantastic photo opportunities that come with puntings and picnics and etc.
Am slightly depressed right now :bang:
