My Dad!

Hi all,

We were sitting in the garden a while back and I started to have a play around with the camera.

This was probably the best of the bunch, the expression on my Dads face is a very typical one of his.

I'd be really interested in what you think, its my first try at a portrait type shot. No lighting was used, all natural daylight.

Tips and Crit please!

I did ask, and he does hate his pic being taken! Lol.

Apart from the pose, any comments on the technical side of things? Composition ok etc?

I tried Hackers tips on making eyes "pop" out too, to see if i could really lol

I like the pic, nice expression captured well!

I'm pretty new to photography but I'll happily give you my opinion, for what its worth! I would crop out the top part of the pic, so his eyes are in the top 1/4 of the frame (even if it means losing a little of his hair) and see what it looks like, the bush in the background on the right I find a little distracting, so it might be worth cropping that out too at the same time.
